Euan Paterson
A communications professional, trainer, copywriter, facilitator, editor and award-winning journalist who, after 13 years in the newspaper industry, is helping to spread the word on marine science research. I'm currently communications and media manager at the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) www.sams.ac.uk, Scotland’s largest and oldest independent marine science organisation. SAMS is dedicated to delivering marine science for a healthy and sustainable marine environment through research, education and engagement with society.
I am passionate about science communication and training researchers to bridge the gap that often exists between specialised topics and general media. I also assist researchers with disseminating their findings to new and varied audiences.
